Stewart and Murray Named GSAC Beach Volleyball Pair of the Week

San Dimas, CA - Mackenzie Stewart and Kate Murray were named the GSAC Beach Volleyball Pair of the Week, cementing themselves in LPU history as the first pair to receive these honors in program history.  Stewart and Murray currently serve as the #3 pair for LPU and sit at a 4-4 record on the season.  The recognition of this honor followed last week's performance where Stewart and Murray went 2-0 against #8 Vanguard and #7 Saint Katherine's.

When asked to reflect on Stewart and Murray's peformance last week, Coach Wes Schneider stated, "I am so proud of Mackenzie and Kate.  They have put in so much hard work over the last couple of years and it is showing and paying off.  They have earned this recognition and they are just scratching the surface of how good they can be as a pair.  Congrats ladies!"

GSAC BEACH VOLLEYBALL PAIR OF THE WEEK

Mackenzie Stewart and Kate Murray went 2-0 on the week as the #3 pair for Life Pacific. They defeated the #3 pair from #8 Vanguard on Wednesday, 19-21, 21-19, 15-12. They followed that performance up with a comeback win on Friday against #7 Saint Katherine's, defeating their #3 pair, 10-21, 21-19, 19-17.  With both of those wins, the pair improve to 4-4 on the season.  They'll look to continue their momentum as they head into more GSAC matches taking place on Saturday, March 9th at Huntington Beach.
