Warriors Outpace Eagles, Finishing With 84-73 Victory

San Dimas, CA - On Monday evening, the Warriors took on the Eagles from West Coast Baptist University.  The Warriors entered the game down a couple starters, with Austin Cook and Vince Fier both sidelined for the matchup.  Thankfully, multiple players stepped up for LPU, with 7 players scoring 8 or more points on the game.  LPU was led by Rico Hopping, who finished with 15 points and 6 rebounds.  Zach Murphy contributed 14 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists, while Jordan Jones finished with 10 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists.  Life Pacific finished the game with a victory, defeating West Coast Baptist by a final score of 84-73, improving their overall record to 2-1 on the season.

When asked to share his thoughts on the victory, Coach Tim Cook stated, "This was a very important game for us today to get back on track.  I want to complement West Coast Baptist on how well they played today and they did an amazing job of spacing the floor and playing together.  It really put together a challenge for us on the defensive end tonight.  We had to really work for a lot of our stuff.  What I was most proud of was our rebounding effort of 46 to 29 on the glass.  I was proud of how we finished the game and coming out with the victory.  Back at it tomorrow night!"
