La Verne, CA - The Warriors entered Saturday's matchup against NCAA DIII opponent, the La Verne University Leopards, with a 5-1 record. To start the game, LPU got off to a quick start, taking an early 14-2 lead. Despite getting off to the quick start, the Leopards battled back, taking the lead eventually in the 2nd half. The Leopards took a 14 point lead in the 2nd half, looking to pull away, but the Warriors were not going without a fight. Five different Warriors scored in double-digits, which helped keep LPU in the game. Zach Murphy, freshman guard, was instrumental in the comeback as he scored 19 points off of the bench, with the majority of his scoring taking place in the second half. The Warriors won the game by a final score of 93-90, improving their record to 6-1 on the season. They were led offensively by Jordan Jones, Austin Cook, Vince Fier, who all scored 20 points in Saturday's game.
