San Dimas, CA - The Warriors hosted the Spirit of OUAZ on Saturday afternoon, facing off for the second time this season. LPU got off to a slow start and went into the second half, trailing the Spirit 34-23. Despite the slow start, the Warriors battled back and were able to come out in the "Win" column, defeating OUAZ by a final score of 73-70. The Warriors were led by Rico Hopping, who finished with 20 points and 7 rebounds. Zachary Murphy was pivotal for the Warriors, scoring timely buckets to keep LPU in the game. He finished with 18 points and 4 assists. Vince Fier finished with yet another double-double, scoring 15 points while grabbing 12 rebounds. Dylan Cabs continued to do everything on the court, scoring 8 points, grabbing 8 rebounds, distributing 8 assists, and securing 3 steals.
With the win, the Warriors improve to 12-7 on the season and 6-5 in GSAC play, which has them standing at the #4 spot in the GSAC standings.
