Warriors Men's Soccer 2024 Season Preview
San Dimas, CA – Life Pacific University's Men's Soccer team enter the 2024 season returning with most of their starting lineup. The Warriors Head Coach, Joey DeSantis, is accompanied by assistant coaches, Manny Basulto, Bryan Del Real, and Daniel Rampen. The Warriors finished the season with an overall record of 2-12-2 and 1-5-1 in the GSAC. After a building year for the program in 2023, the Warriors are looking to expand on their traction from last season and establish their presence in the restructured GSAC this Fall.
As they enter the 2024 season, the Men's Soccer team is led on the attack by forwards, Adrian Ochoa, Benjamin Montes de Oca, and Ramiro Piza. The midfielder group consists of steady play from Juan Rodriguez, Fernando Pineda, and Marco Mendoza. The backline of the defense is held down by defender, Israel Ramirez. In the net, LPU expects to see dynamic play from Alberto Orozco.
The returners are joined by a recruiting class of 11 newcomers who are poised to make an immediate impact in the 2024 season:

LPU kicks off their season on August 17th with a match against Soka University at 7:00pm. Their schedule features multiple contests against other NAIA opponents from the Cal Pac, along with an exciting Division II matchup against Biola University. The Warriors jump right into conference play on September 18th at 12:00pm against Hope International University on LPU's home field.
Joey DeSantis enters his third season as the Head Coach of the program. When asked to share his thoughts about the upcoming season, Coach DeSantis stated, "As the season kicks off, we are eager to get ourselves established in training camp. We know our conference will be competitive and with the new look in our conference, every game will matter. We must be able to control what we can control and not worry about things we can't control. If we do this, we will have success both on and off the field."
