Warriors Complete Season Sweep Over Bethesda

San Dimas, CA - On Wednesday evening, the Warriors faced off against Bethesda University for the second time this season.  In the first matchup against Bethesda, the Warriors were able to pull off the victory by a final score of 80-67, in a game where Rachel Spinosa finished with 20 points and 20 rebounds.  After trailing for nearly the entire game, the Warriors entered the fourth quareter trailing by 3 points.  They were able to pull of a late run and pull of the win by a final score of 76-70.  With the win, the Warriors improved to 4-11 on the season.

 

The Warriors saw a significant impact from two of their freshmen, Faith Harris and Gianna Pritchett.  Harris finished with 16 points and 4 rebounds off of the bench and Pritchett finished with 7 points and 10 rebounds.  Rachel Spinosa contributed her usual 18 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists.  Bryanna Felix finished with 16 points as well.

 

When reflecting on the team's victory, Coach Kyler Kennedy stated, "This was a gutsy victory by the girls tonight as we head into the break.  We saw two of our freshmen, Gianna and Faith, step up and come down with timely boards and hit big shots for us.  It was great to see their hard work pay off and we are so proud of them.  The team battled against a tough opponent and showed grit when faced with adversity.  Merry Christmas everyone!!"
