Warriors Set Program Wins Record With Victory Over Spirit

San Dimas, CA - On Thursday evening, the Warriors faced off against the Spirit of OUAZ in another GSAC matchup.  In the first matchup earlier this season, the Warriors earned their first GSAC win in program history in which they rallied back from a 15-point fourth quarter deficit.  The Warriors had their eyes set on repeating the outcome of the first matchup.  The Warriors completed a wire to wire victory over the Spirit, winning the matchup by a final score of 58-35.  With the win, the Warriors set the record for most wins in the young program's history.  LPU improved to 6-17 overall and 2-11 in GSAC play.

From the jump, the Warriors were the aggressors in the game and built an early 15-4 lead after the first quarter.  They did not take their foot off the gas pedal and consistently held the lead for the remainder of the game, despite the Spirit cutting the deficit in the 2nd half to 8 points.  The way they were able to significantly impact the game was their pressure in the full-court as they turned the Spirit over 22 times for the game.

They were led by sophomore guard, Rachel Spinosa, who was stellar as she finished with 19 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 assists.  Nataly Cruz finished with a season-high 10 points while she also gathered 7 rebounds on the contest.
