Warriors Outlast Spirit, Securing First GSAC Win of Season

Surprise, AZ - On Saturday afternoon, the Warriors faced off against the Spirit of OUAZ in a GSAC matchup.  The Warriors entered Saturday's matchup with an overall record of 9-6, while the Spirit entered the matchup at 10-3.  The game would end up seeing 5 different lead changes, with the Warriors holding their largest lead of 9 points in the 2nd half.  In the back and forth game, the Warriors were able to hold off the Spirit's late attempt to tie the game, winning the game by a final score of 63-60, securing their first GSAC win of the season.  LPU was shorthanded in today's matchup, with one of their leading scorers in Rachel Spinosa not suiting up for the game.  With that 4 different Warriors finished in double-digits, with Faith Schwantner leading the way with 16 points and 7 rebounds.  Kyori Lloyd continued her consistent play, finishing with 12 points and 5 rebounds.  Sophia Ganino was a rebound shy of a double double, finishing with 11 points and 9 points.  Natalie Satamian provided a scoring spark off the bench as she finished with her season high of 10 points.
