Warriors Pick Up First Victory of Season With 61-55 Defeat of Lions

San Dimas, CA - On Thursday evening, the Warriors faced off against Bethesda University, in which the Warriors picked up their first victory of the season, 61-55.  The Warriors were led by Senior guard, Faith Schwantner, who finished with 13 points, 5 assists, and 4 rebounds.   Freshmen, Adrianna Torres and Rylee Roy both finished in double-digits, as they finished with 11 points each.  Calista Arzaga stuffed the stat sheet for the Warriors, finishing with 6 points, 8 assists, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists. The Warriors relied on their defensive play as they forced 28 turnovers, while securing 18 steals for the game.  They also held the Lions to 41.5% shooting from the field and 0% from the perimeter.

The Warriors will be back on Mehl Court on Tuesday evening as they host Stanton University at 5:30pm PST.
