Caddow Awarded With GSAC Player of Year Honors for 2nd Year in a Row

San Dimas, CA – Hannah Caddow was officially named to the GSAC All-Conference team, along with receiving the presitigious award of Co-Player of the Year.  This is her 2nd straight year being awarded with Player of the Year honors, as well as her 4th straight season receiving All-Conference.  The receival of these awards comes on the week that the Warriors will host the GSAC Volleyball Tournament for the first time in program history.  The Warriors finished the season with an overall record of 17-8 and 8-6 in the GSAC, placing them as the #3 seed in the tournament.

When asked to reflect on the honors that Caddow received and the legacy that she will leave at the end of the year, Coach Wes stated, "Hannah has been such a critical piece of our team's success over her career, both on and off of the court.  Her stats really do speak for themselves, but what has really impressed me though about her has been her growth in leadership, as she really committed herself this year to study, train, and take a true interest in guiding our team both on and off of the court.  The legacy that she will be leaving here not only in Volleyball, but as an LPU student-athlete, will be one that carries on for the next decade.  It is rare that you get the opportunity to coach the quality of person and athlete that Hannah Caddow is, and I look forward to seeing where God leads her in the future."

#13 HANNAH CADDOW

Hannah has been instrumental in the rise of the Life Pacific Volleyball program to GSAC recognition over the last 5 years.  That impact has been noted as she received All-Conference honors for the 4th time in her career, along with receiving the Player of the Year award for the 2nd straight season.  Hannah receives this award following a regular season where she led the GSAC in total kills with 347, kills/set, with an average of 3.77 kills/set.  She also led the GSAC in points per set, as she finished the year with an average of 4.23 points/set.  Along with her lethal attack, Hannah is also widely known as one of the best defenders in the GSAC.  In 16 different matches, she posted a double-double (kills/digs) where she controlled the match on both sides of the ball.  Hannah finished 10th in the GSAC in digs/set, as she averaged 3.14 digs per set.  On September 1st, she posted her season mark of digs, finishing the match against UC Merced with 24 digs, while also contributing 21 kills.

This season, Hannah continued to grow her standing in the All-Time leader category for LPU Volleyball as she holds the LPU record for most all-time kills, digs, and service aces.  She has a career total of 1544 kills, 1563 digs, and 145 aces, which all serve as an LPU best. Another record that Hannah holds is the most aces in a match, which she recorded back in the 2019 season when she recorded 8 service aces on one set.

Caddow is currently serving as the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee representative for Life Pacific University for the third straight year, as she continues to solidify herself as a leader within the team and campus as a whole.  She has played a pivotal role in establishing and growing the SAAC on LPU's campus and is leaving a legacy that will carry on after her time here.  Hannah also earned the Cliff Hamlow Champions of Character Award two years ago, which recognizes the 2 student-athletes from each institution that demonstrate outstanding athletic achievement, campus and community leadership, future ambition, and embraces the five core character values of the NAIA Champions of Character program (Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Sportsmanship and Servant Leadership).
