Warriors Roll Past Royals, Finish Regular Season as Fourth Seed in GSAC Tournament

FULLERTON, Calif. — Life Pacific University Volleyball closed out the regular season with a dominant 3–1 victory over Hope International on Saturday afternoon, locking in the No. 4 seed in the GSAC Tournament under first-year Head Coach Liz Salas.

The Warriors (16–8, 11–5 GSAC) showcased offensive balance and grit, hitting .191 as a team and winning sets 25–23, 12–25, 25–21, and 25–21 to secure their spot in the postseason.

Kendal Collins powered the attack with a team-high 10 kills and added 13 digs for an 11.5-point performance, while Kate Smith matched her with 10 kills, three service aces, and a team-best 19 digs. Jocelyn Hernandez also reached double figures with 10 kills on .258 hitting, rounding out a balanced front line for LPU.

Setter Marlayina Masani orchestrated the offense with 22 assists, 15 digs, and a service ace, while Jadyn Armstrong was everywhere — posting 14 assists, four aces, and six digs. Defensively, Isabel Johnson and Makala Detrick combined for four blocks at the net, helping to stifle Hope's late-set rallies.

Life Pacific's steady serve pressure (11 aces as a team) and ability to close out tight sets made the difference, as the Warriors continue to build momentum heading into postseason play.

The Warriors now turn their attention to the GSAC Tournament, where they'll face top-seeded and No. 11-ranked The Master's University on Wednesday, November 12, in Santa Clarita.
