Senior outside hitter Jocelyn Hernandez was named to the GSAC All-Conference Team, while junior setter Marlayina Masani earned the title of GSAC Newcomer of the Year.
The pair played key roles in the Warriors' impressive campaign, as LPU finished the regular season 16-8 overall and 11-5 in GSAC play, securing the #4 seed in the upcoming GSAC Tournament. The Warriors will face #11-ranked The Master's University in the semifinals on November 12 at 6 p.m.
#10 Jocelyn Hernandez – Senior Outside Hitter

Hernandez ranked 10th in the GSAC in kills per set (2.70) and served as the consistent attacking threat for the Warriors throughout the season. Her leadership and experience helped guide LPU to one of its strongest finishes in program history.
When asked to share about Jocelyn, Coach Liz Salas stated, "Joce has been an integral part to us having so much success this season. I'm so proud of the player Joce is on the court, receive attacker of the week 2x and breaking into the leader boards for GSAC. Not only is she a stud physically but she brings a joy to practice everyday. I'm thankful to have been able to coach her this year!"
#6 Marlayina Masani – Junior Setter / Right-Side
In her first season with the Warriors, Masani made an immediate impact, earning the GSAC Newcomer of the Year award. Her versatility was on full display as she contributed not only as the team's primary setter but also as a dynamic right-side attacker.
Masani finished the year with 312 assists (4.00 per set), 84 kills, 19 service aces, and 186 digs (2.38 per set), while also adding 23 blocks and hitting .152 on the year. Her ability to facilitate the offense and contribute in multiple phases of the game made her one of the conference's most valuable all-around players.
When asked to share about Marlayina, Coach Liz Salas stated, "Mar can do it all! She is a great defender, butter hands and can put the ball away. She shows up ready to work hard everyday and does it all while being one of the biggest jokesters on the team. We're happy she chose to come to LPU this season."
Together, Hernandez and Masani's leadership, consistency, and skill helped elevate LPU Volleyball to new heights. The Warriors now turn their focus to the GSAC Tournament, looking to continue their postseason success and make history in San Dimas.
