Warriors Preparing For National Invitational

SAN DIMAS, Calif. – The Women's Wrestling program will have two representatives at the 2021 NAIA Women's Wrestling National Invitational March 12-13th at the University of Jamestown, in Jamestown ND. Angelique Cervantes will compete in the 101-pound division and Sitlaly Sanchez will wrestle in the 155-pound division. Both wrestlers are true Freshman that will be the first representatives for LPU at the National Tournament in program history. Last season's tournament was cancelled due to Covid-19 so LPU was unable to compete.

"Angelique and Sitlaly are LPU's first two female wrestlers, to represent Life Pacific University at NAIA Women's Wrestling National Invitational. They both continue to strive for excellence by training very hard every morning at 6:00 am for the past three months. Due to their hard work, they have been given this great opportunity to wrestle at the Women's Wrestling National Invitational. Preliminary brackets for the 2021 NAIA Women's Wrestling National invitational have been released by the national office. The Invitational, hosted by Jamestown (N.D.), is set to begin on Friday, March 12th at 9 AM CT. Read more here.
