Warriors Stun (RV) The Master’s in Gritty GSAC Upset

La Verne, Calif. — The Life Pacific University Women's Soccer team pulled off one of the biggest upsets of the GSAC season on Wednesday afternoon, defeating (RV) The Master's University 1–0 at the University of La Verne.

Facing a Mustangs squad that entered the match sitting second in the GSAC standings with a 6–2 conference record, the Warriors delivered a complete team performance marked by discipline, resilience, and timely execution.

After a tightly contested first half that saw The Master's outshoot Life Pacific 7–1, the Warriors found their breakthrough moment in the 63rd minute.   Hannah Gonzales came off the bench and made an instant impact, slotting home the match's lone goal off a perfectly placed assist from Brianna Figueroa, her 12th of the season.

Despite relentless pressure from the Mustangs — who tallied 18 total shots and struck the crossbar twice — Life Pacific's defense refused to break. Center backs Alexa Monge, Stevie Spencer, and Lucy Bower anchored a back line that absorbed wave after wave of attacks, while goalkeeper Valerie Lopez stood tall with five crucial saves, including a highlight stop in the 77th minute to preserve the clean sheet.

With the victory, Life Pacific improves to 6–7 overall and 2–6 in GSAC play (6 points).
