Historic Honors for LPU Women’s Soccer: Figueroa and Spencer Named to GSAC All-Conference Team
San Dimas, CA – A historic milestone was achieved for Life Pacific University Women's Soccer this week, as senior forward Brianna Figueroa and junior defender Stevie Spencer were named to the GSAC All-Conference Team presented by Under Armour. This marks the first time in program history that LPU has had players selected to the GSAC All-Conference list — a testament to the Warriors' growth and the continued rise of the program.
#17 Brianna Figueroa – Senior Forward
Figueroa capped off a standout senior campaign by leading the Warriors offensively and ranking among the best in the GSAC. She finished the year with 11 goals and 18 assists for 40 total points, starting in all 18 matches. Figueroa led the GSAC in assists, ranked third in total points, and fourth in goals scored. Her creativity and consistency in the attack fueled one of LPU's most competitive seasons to date.
When asked to share about Brianna Figueroa, Coach Shane Shelton stated, "I am so proud of Bri. She is a dynamic playmaker who can change the outcome of a game in a moment. Elite in 1v1 situations, can beat opponents on the dribble or with her movement off the ball. Fantastic at getting to goal and even better at setting up her teammates. Set program records this year in goals, assists and point. Lead the conference in assists finishing with 18. Way to go Bri!"
#18 Stevie Spencer – Junior Defender
Spencer was the foundation of LPU's defense, starting all 18 matches and playing a crucial role in the team's seven shutouts this season. The junior center back not only anchored the backline but also contributed offensively with six goals, including one game-winner. Her leadership, composure, and ability to impact both ends of the pitch made her one of the conference's top all-around defenders.
When asked to share about Stevie Spencer, Coach Shane Shelton stated, "She is so deserving of this! She was the anchor of our defense helping set a program record with 7 shutouts on the year. Stevie has an uncanny ability to read the game, great positioning, elite in 1v1 situations, and is so solid in her ability to break lines in possession and a monster in the air. She really showcased herself as an elite threat on set pieces as well finishing with 6 goals on the year."
