Warriors Power Past La Sierra for Fourth Straight GSAC Victory
Riverside, Calif. — Life Pacific Volleyball earned a crucial GSAC road victory on Tuesday night, defeating La Sierra in four sets (25–22, 25–20, 21–25, 25–16). The win moves the Warriors to 9–5 overall and 4–2 in GSAC play, continuing their strong start to conference action.
Kate Smith had one of her best all-around outings of the year, leading the Warriors with a match-high 18 kills on .319 hitting while also adding 17 digs and 3 aces for a total of 21.5 points. Her steady play in the back row and consistent scoring on the pin kept the Warriors in control.
Kendal Collins provided an additional offensive spark, tallying 14 kills, 21 digs, and 2 aces for a double-double performance that showed her two-way impact.
In the middle, Tionn Wise was highly efficient, putting down 9 kills on a .643 hitting percentage while adding 3 blocks for 11 total points. Isabel Johnson was just as effective at the net, registering 7 kills on .417 hitting along with 8 blocks (3 solo, 5 assisted) for 12.5 points, her defensive presence helping LPU control the match.
At the setter position, Marlayina Masani directed the offense with 30 assists, while chipping in 7 digs and 2 kills. Jadyn Armstrong added balance with 21 assists, 11 digs, and a service ace, giving the Warriors a reliable two-setter system that spread the attack across multiple options.
Defensively, Life Pacific racked up 73 digs and 14 team blocks, with Smith, Collins, and Armstrong all reaching double figures in digs. From the service line, the Warriors added 8 aces, capitalizing on pressure moments to keep La Sierra off balance.
With the victory, the Warriors (9–5, 4–2 GSAC) continue to build momentum as they head into a key stretch of conference play, hosting Hope International at Mehl Court this Saturday evening.
