Pasadena, Calif. — Life Pacific Women's Soccer continued its hot start to the 2025 campaign with a convincing 3–0 victory over Caltech on Thursday afternoon. The win pushes the Warriors to 2–0 on the season, the best start in program history.
After a scoreless first half, the Warriors broke through in the 49th minute when Brianna Figueroa found the back of the net off a feed from Nancy Hinojosa. The duo swapped roles just 15 minutes later, as Hinojosa slotted home her third goal of the young season with an assist from Figueroa.
The Warriors capped off the scoring in the 87th minute when Angela Scott-Orihuela finished off another Figueroa assist, sealing the clean sheet victory.
Life Pacific's attack was relentless once again, firing off 16 shots with six on goal, while goalkeeper Valerie Lopez turned away both of Caltech's shots on frame to record her first shutout of the season.
Through just two matches, the partnership of Hinojosa and Figueroa has been the story of the season:
-
Nancy Hinojosa: 3 goals, 2 assists
-
Brianna Figueroa: 2 goals, 4 assists
Their combined production has powered all but one of the Warriors' seven goals across two matches.
The Warriors (2–0) will look to keep their unbeaten run alive when they host Justice College on Monday, September 1st.
