Warriors Shut Out Leopards to Cap Non-Conference Slate

La Verne, Calif. — The Life Pacific women's soccer team closed out non-conference play in style on Saturday night, earning a 2–0 road victory over the University of La Verne. With the win, the Warriors improved to 4–1–0, extending the program's best-ever start to a season as they head into GSAC competition next week.

Life Pacific struck early in the first half and never looked back. In the 18th minute, Angela Scott-Orihuela broke through on a feed from Brianna Figueroa, putting the Warriors on top. Just seven minutes later, Lucy Bower doubled the lead after finishing off an assist from Mercedes Sibrian, giving LPU a 2–0 cushion they would carry the rest of the way.

Defensively, the Warriors were rock-solid. Goalkeeper Valerie Lopez recorded her third shutout of the season, while defenders Stevie Spencer and Alexa Monge anchored the back line and denied La Verne any clear scoring opportunities.

The Warriors' 4–1 start continues the best opening to a season in program history, fueled by a balanced attack and a defense that has now recorded three clean sheets in the first five matches.

Life Pacific opens GSAC play this week against Hope International, looking to carry their momentum into conference action.
