Dominant Warriors Cruise to 5–0 Victory Over La Sierra

Glendora, Calif.  — The Life Pacific University women's soccer team continued its strong GSAC campaign with a commanding 5–0 shutout victory over La Sierra University on Thursday afternoon at Citrus College. The win showcased an explosive offensive effort and another stellar defensive performance, led by goalkeeper Valerie Lopez, who tallied her sixth shutout of the season and recorded her first assist of the year.

The Warriors (8–7, 4–6 GSAC) wasted no time setting the tone. In just the 7th minute, Angela Scott opened the scoring off a beautiful setup from Brianna Figueroa. Figueroa—who continues to lead the GSAC in assists—was at the heart of the action all afternoon, adding to her total with her 13th and 14th assists of the season.

Life Pacific doubled the lead before halftime when Stevie Spencer found the back of the net in the 36th minute, again off a Figueroa corner. Coming out of the break, the Warriors' attack exploded, scoring three times in the first 30 minutes of the second half.

In the 47th minute, Mercedes Sibrian extended the lead to 3–0, finishing a combination play from Scott and Hannah Gonzales. Less than 10 minutes later, Gonzales added one of her own on a perfectly timed ball from Scott and Lopez—marking Lopez's first career assist. Figueroa capped the scoring in the 73rd minute with her ninth goal of the season, assisted by Mariah Kavanaugh and Lucy Bower.

Defensively, Lopez anchored another lockdown performance for the Warriors, making three saves to preserve the clean sheet. Life Pacific limited La Sierra (6–6–3, 3–5–3 GSAC) to just four total shots on goal while generating 17 shots and 10 on target of their own.

The win marks Life Pacific's fourth GSAC victory and their third straight shutout, further solidifying their late-season surge heading into the conference finale.
