Warriors Earn First GSAC Victory with Dominant 3–0 Win Over Arizona Christian

San Dimas, Calif. — The Life Pacific University Women's Soccer team won their first GSAC match of the season, earning a 3–0 victory over Arizona Christian University on Thursday evening on the road at ACU. The win marked the Warriors' first conference victory of the season, improving their record to 5–6–0 overall and 1–5-0 in GSAC play.

Life Pacific wasted no time taking control. In just the third minute, Brianna Figueroa broke through the Firestorm defense, slotting home an unassisted goal to give the Warriors an early 1–0 lead.

The Warriors continued to press throughout the match, outshooting Arizona Christian 18–11 with seven shots on goal. In the second half, LPU extended its lead when Angela Scott finished off a pass from Lucy Bower in the 73rd minute. Figueroa capped off her stellar performance with her second goal of the match in the 80th minute, once again finding the back of the net unassisted to seal the victory.

Defensively, the Warriors were rock-solid. Goalkeeper Valerie Lopez recorded her fourth shutout of the season, making a key save early in the first half and anchoring a disciplined back line led by Alexa Monge, Stevie Spencer, and Lucy Bower.

Midfielders Mercedes Sibrian, Kyrah Souza, and Calysta Escalera controlled possession and dictated the tempo, while Nancy Hinojosa and Emmy Gamble added pressure on the wings.

The Warriors (5–6–0, 1–5-0 GSAC) will look to build on this momentum as they continue conference play on Saturday as they travel to take on Embry-Riddle.
